Dynamic, Ceres arrange battle for NFL title

Wednesday, May 1, 2013
SUNDAY, May 5, is a red letter day when the defending champion Dynamic Builders FC tries to retain its title against powerhouse archrival Ceres FC in the championship match of t of the North Football League first conference at the Ayala North pitch in Talisay City.
The road to the finals was bumpy and the trip not simple, as both clubs sweated it out to escape their respective opponents, 2-1 in last Sunday's semifinals.
Bes de la Noche of Ceres hit the net in the 33rd minute as Silver Dragon FC's defense was caught by surprise. A one-nil advantage at the break was cut short as Richard Canedo nailed the equalizer in the 52nd minute. Joshua Fegidero put in the winning shot in the 75th minute for a Ceres victory.
Dynamic Builders also struggled to nail a goal in the first half as Trimaxi-Agro FC’s defense forced a scoreless 40 minutes of play.
Trimaxi’s defense continued to disappoint the Builders’ offense until Luigi Hilado found some space and sent the ball to the net in the 66th minute.
The jubilation was short-lived as Fredrick Jan Serios evened the board in the 73rd minute and forced the game to extension.
The experienced Jason Cordova saved the day for Dynamic, delivering his team’s winning goal in the 89th minute.
