Shah Alam: Chinese Taipei side Tainan City FC wrapped up their AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013 Qualifiers with a 4-0 win over Pasargad FC of the Philippines in the last match of the Group A.
In the match played at the Panasonic Sports Complex on Saturday, both the sides entered into the field knowing that the match was an academic contest with Chonburi Bluewave and Shenzhen Nanling securing their places in the knockout stages after finishing first and second respectively.
The match was marked by tight defence wayward finishing as goals were hard to come by until Tainan forward player Liu Chi Chao broke the deadlock scoring an important goal in the 8
th minute after cleverly receiving a freekick from Lo Chih An at the centre.
Chang Han continued his scoring spree by finding the net in the 23
rd minute as Tainan doubled their lead.
“I have been stressing on our purpose of the tournament; we came here to learn and gain experiences so walking away with points are bonus for us,” Tainan coach Lo Chih Tsung told

“We are encouraged to do better in future and you will see a much improved Chinese Taipei representative next year. An addition of a couple of experienced professional is what we need.
“There are lots of supports for our futsal back home so hopefully we will develop as a team in the future,” he added.
