THE Teen Azkals Soccer Clinic will have its final day today at the Aboitiz Sports Field.
The clinic started last Tuesday and was led by Teen Azkals head coach Marlon Maro and assistant Glen Ramos. It will culminate with a short training session and the
participants will receive certificates and Azkals magazines.
The clinic attracted 39 participants, while the simultaneous tryout for the 19-Under national team also attracted 39.
Among the registrants for the clinic were Aladin Arranquez III, Uriel Lorenzo Labadan, Pat Nicolas Cabanes, Jian De Los Santos, Khalil Alquilos, Kalvin Nino Harvey Panares, Kiann Partosa and Agustin Roa.
Some players who showed for the 19-under tryouts were Roy Wayne Aipperspach Jr., Leon Douglas Hagedorn, Patrick Valenzuela, Jerico Dagsa, Shane Sarmiento, Marlon Ewayan and Marc Joseph Jims Felicilda.
“Nalipay ra pud ko kay daghan ni-tryout,” said Ramos.
The tryout is the last of a series of tryouts for the selection of the 19-under national team.
Ramos said that they are still evaluating the players but are hoping they will be able to announce the final roster next week.
The U-19 is set to join in the Barotac Nuevo Fiesta Cup at Barotac, Panay Island and they will leave for Australia on July to bid in the Kanga Cup.
