Nay Pyi Taw: Myanmar gained their first win in their qualifying campaign for the AFC U-14 Championship 2014 after beating the Philippines 2-1 at the Wunna Theik Stadium in Myanmar on Wednesday.
Kobe Joseph Quizon Stuart Del Rosario scored on nine minutes giving the Filipinos the lead which they successfully guarded until half time but Myanmar’s Htet Phyoe Wai managed to level the score 11 minutes into the second half.
The game looked as if it was going to be tied until Aung Zin Myint finally breached the Philippine defence and scored Myanmar’s winning goal just two minutes from time in the 60-minute game.
Myanmar had lost 2-0 to Malaysia in their opening match on Tuesday in Group E of qualification for the inaugural U-14 continental tournament while the Filipinos kicked off their campaign with a 4-0 routing of Brunei Darussalam.
Myanmar are now on third spot while the junior Azkals occupy fifth position.

ReplyDeletethere is a high possibility on your guess...the results from the past two days is quite clear. Because their are still a lot of good players who were not given the opportunity during the scheduled tryouts which were not published well and only coaches whom they knew were sent with invitation letters. PFF Sana next time, try to reach-out as much as possible all the provinces, cities and municipalities who have existing clubs and teams para maximize natin and selection process. Sayang naman. At least everybody will be given the chance and the money you spent will be worth for.
