LOOKING to erase the stigma of its elimination from the Asian Football Confederation President's Cup in Cebu, Global vented its ire on Pachanga-Diliman, 3-0, and reclaimed second place in the United Football League on a rainy Tuesday night at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
Left out of the President's Cup roster, Izzo El-Habbib showed he was a vital member of the team by making it to the scoring column in the second half together with Marwin Angeles.
Global thus temporarily replaced Loyola Meralco in second spot with 34. The Sparks, with 31 points, have a chance to reclaim their place if they beat Kaya in the second game of the doubleheader.
Pachanga remained in fourth place.
