3 Cebuanas still hope for National U-14 slots

THE dream is still alive for three Cebuano booters who wish to make to the final
roster of the girls national under-14 team.
This was after Arantxa Mari Trebol, Itsuko Maree Bacatan and Alexa Ceniza
moved to thefinal screening of the tryout. From 32 hopefuls, the girls are
now down to 25.
The final selection phase on June 8 will have 18 players representing the
country
in an international football festival.
San Roque Football Club coach Tony Trebol is still in high hopes that his
daughter and two other team mates will make it.
But there’s only little time to celebrate as the girls will still have to stand
out from trainings and practices.
Just after the short announcement last Sunday, the girls are back to their
twice-a-day training.
Arantxa who called his father about the good news also said that they
are putting a
lot of hardwork in their practices.
“Kapoy daw kayo, but the girls know what’s at stake for them,” said
Trebol.
The national team is gearing up for the Asian Football Confederation
(AFC) 14-Under Festival of Football on the third week of June
 in Vietnam.
