Pachanga keen to settle score against Nomads

By Karlo Sacamos

PACHANGA-Diliman hopes to keep its place in the upper half of the standings when it squares off with Nomads on Saturday in the United Football League at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
The 2012 Division 2 champions, who have been quietly making noise in their maiden top flight campaign with most of their games being untelevised, face Nomads at 8:30 p.m. in the lone Division 1 game.
Pachanga lost to Nomads by a goal in their first-round meeting, but the former is hoping to build on its 3-2 victory over PSG last Saturday that gained the team solo fourth spot.
Nomads, on the other hand, is on a six-game tailspin.
Pachanga, composed partly of University of the Philippines alumni, hopes to draw the same performance from Ousseynou Diop, who registered two goals in the win, to get back at Nomads.
The 19-year-old Senegalese striker doesn’t mind that his team is delivering under the radar.
“We are just trying to stay humble and try to stay in solo fourth,” said Diop, who returned after being sidelined for almost a month due to a groin injury.
