FIVE Cebuano booters will join the 15-Under squad of Global FC that will represent the
country against Malaysia in the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) - Frenz U-15

The core of the lineup is made up of the Little Azkals, the former members
of the Philippine 14-Under team. Most of them played together in the
AFF U-14 Festival of Football.

The other players in the team are John William Abraham, Marco Casambre,
Harel Dela Costa Dayan, Josh Miller, Ray Vincent Sanciangco and
Jolo Cadiz of Manila and Troy Limbo, who just moved from Cagayan de Oro.

Former men’s national team member Anto Gonzales will be the head coach of the team,
which will still have a tryout on Sunday to add more players for the squad in
the four-month long tournament among 11 members of the Asean Football Federation.

The champion in the tournament will get $50,000, while the runner-up gets $25,000.
The third placer wins $10,000, while fourth placer goes home with $5,000.

There will also be special awards like Fair Play, Golden Boot and Most Valuable
Player awards. The Golden Boot and MVP winners will get $2,500.

The tournament will use a double-round robin format and will be held every
weekend until September. The teams in Group B are Frenz Indonesia,
Myanmar Mandalay Academy, Lao Toyota Academy and Brunei U-15.

Spectators who will watch the game will still have to pay the

So typical of Palami and Global. Whats next, signing 14-15 year old kids from abroad? First local, then international. I wouldnt be surprised.
ReplyDeleteAyan na nga't natulong na ang Global sa grassroots development, mali pa rin? Di ba ganyan naman talaga dapat? Ang mga clubs kelangan may youth team. Mas natututukan ang mga bata. Ano ba idea mo? Share mo naman. Di yung puro ka batikos!
ReplyDeleteNormal habit talaga nyan ng feeling experts. Walang posts about national team or dan palami na hindi nila binabatikos. Parang may nagawa para sa football sa totoo mga bandwagons lang pala.
ReplyDeleteBut then, they should have conducted a proper and formal tryouts so we can have a better team. Atually, even without Fil-foreign players, we can still be competetive. The problem is, only those close or relative of coaches and pff officials were chosen. Pathetic!

ReplyDeleteThe truth is kinuha ng PFF ang mga players ng Pasargad U17 because the core of them are U15 Little Azkals (5 from Kaya)para magdala sa Global sa FAM FRENZ Malaysia Cup. Ang problema kasi is wlang official notice ang PFF/Global to UFL and to PSG and Kaya na kukunin yung players nila as it is a club based tournament pero part na daw ito sa "training camp" nila ng National U15 ng RP. In my opinion bakit Global palagi ang mag represent s international competition na wla naman silang youth programs? bakit hindi ang mga teams nasa UFL na ready ang mga teams? bakit biglaan ito at ginagamit pa ang PFF sa pag facilitate ? Paano pag mag injured yung mga key players sa national team at darating na ang AFC/AFF qualifier which is in the mjiddle this year? Ano ba ang iniisip ng PFF technical director dito? dahil wlang national players pinadala ang ibang SEA clubs dito i'm sure cause ayaw nila magiba ang preparation ng kanilang AFC at AFF campaign. Why risk for the little azkals players? and why field them every week when they know they have classes dahil until september ang tournament na ito. Is Aris Caslib thingking well ? or he's making Dan Palami look good if he wins and make look bad if he loose?
