UFL Cup suspend matches due to rain

The United Football League suspended its scheduled matches on Thursday due to the rains brought by tropical storm ‘Ofel.’
The Cup’s Group C matches between the Loyola Meralco Sparks and Mendiola FC at 7 p.m. and Pachanga and Laos FC at 9 p.m. at the University of Makati were cancelled due to the unplayable conditions of the field caused by the rain.
The UFL, however, promised to post the new schedule of the postponed games as soon as possible.
Metro Manila has been put under storm signal 1 while nearby provinces, as well as some areas in Visayas, have been placed under storm signal 2 because of tropical storm ‘Ofel,’ which will stay in the country until Friday.
