Aboitiz Cup revives 2 events

CEBU Football Association has already set the date of the 15th Aboitiz Football Cup on Nov. 11 with the revival of the Inter-company and Inter-BPO category and the 38 above category.
After the meeting last Friday with Aboitiz, the organizers came up with the date and also approved the P1.3-million budget for the longest running local football tournament in Cebu.

But there are no details yet on the opening program as they still have to set another meeting for that to make it a grand event.
There will still be the Players 6 and Players 8 divisions, which will be a 7-a-side competition, while the Players 10 and Inter-Company and Inter-BPO will be a 9-a-side tournament.
However, the format of the Inter-BPO and Inter-Company can still be changed if the teams decide to agree on an 11 a-side format.
The other categories are Boys 12, Girls 12, Boys 14, Girls 14 , Boys 17, Girls 17, Men's Open and Women's Open and the 38-above category in a 11-a-side format.
In line with this, the first of the series of coaches' meetings will be this Sunday, on Oct. 7, at the CFA office near Cebu City Sports Center.
