San Carlos XI to test London Club strength

The visiting football club from London, England will play a friendly game against the San Carlos City Football Club today at the Panaad Stadium as part of their training camp in Negros Occidental.

Led by Filipino-Scottish players James and Ryan Hall, the London-based squad is expected to display their advanced skills against the Negrense booters from San Carlos City.

It will be a quality football game and the Negrense community are invited to watch the match for free at the Panaad, Executive Assistant to the Governor and Provincial Sports Coordinator Angel Verdeflor said.

After the game against San Carlos, the Londoners are set to play against Sagay City FC on Monday, October 31, and against Ceres Football Club on November 3, Verdeflor said.

Meanwhile, the San Carlos and Real Negrense booters extend their winning streak by prevailing over their opponents in the 1st Negros First Football Open Championship at the Panaad pitch.

San Carlos blanked Magallon FC, 8-0, to post a 3-0 win-loss card in Group A, while Real Negrense beat Minuluan-Talisay, 1-0, to top Group B to stay undefeated with three wins.

Games in the Negros Open football tournament are played every Saturday at the Panaad pitch.*NAB
