  4. Lookin forward to Mulders's accurate passes. Let's just hope that Phil is up to the task of capitalizing on those assist. Phil, stop hurrying your shots, share the ball and refrain from getting caught offside.

What are you on about?? Obviously they're our opposition today but to call them racist just for the sake of calling them racist is completely out of line!!

  7. funny how we always complain about being discriminated against and yet we're in denial of being racist ourselves.

Cagara and Lucena are playing? wow that should solidify the defense. Would be good to see if Mulders can distribute in the midfield. its the biggest hole we've never seemed to be able to fill.

  12. lost 2-0, too bad....but for most of the match you counld't see any differnénce in class...too bad that strong 10-15 min. of Singapore were enough (with a lucky deflected shot and an excellent action of Duric)to be beat us. what we are lacking is a top striker with killer instinct...we have good midfield and defense ...Phil needs a partner, only Chieffy is creating some danger next to him....

  13. STRONGEST TEAM NATIN NATALO PA,WALANG KWENTA TALAGA SI WEISS

  14. Strongest Team wala Manny Ott and Shrock in Midfield???????

    ReplyDelete
  15. Of course Schrock was missing a lot in midfield....'cause he is actually in top form which he showed weekly with his club in German 2. Bundesliga....unfortunately he is injured at the moment......

  16. si weiss ginawang defender si mulder, cagara and lucena wahahaha. sana pinalaro niya na lang sa natural position nila. lol hahaha

  17. How typical.....

For all the idiots that's so quick to say that Weiss should be replaced....... PISS OFF!!! All this, "strongest team yet we lost" bullshit... clearly you people don't know football and should just STFU!!

  18. then what do you know about football? the team couldn't even string decent passes. Some players are off position. The talent is there there's something wrong with the coaching

  19. FYI Maulders, Cagara played their usual position AMF and LB. Lucena played CB with AlyB and joined by R. Jonnson at RB that formed the back four. Playing a 4 1 2 1 2 formation. kthxbye

  20. Of course it's easy to blame the coach for tonight's loss but any neutral observer watching the misplaced passes, wild shooting and non-existent movement off the ball knows the Azkals are just a very average bunch of footballers.

The search must go on for some genuine talent.

  21. the talent is for sure there - you must consider some players played the 4th game within 7 days. European players just arrived shortly, the team has not got the time to play to practise that much while Singapore are together for years and know each other (running ways etc.) very well. And I guess it wasn't that bad what all are saying....what we are missing is a real goalgetter...we have nobody with killer instinct in front of the goal when we meet an oponent at the same level or superior...

  22. we are just at the beginning of a long long way....we made the first step and it's now to make the next one. it needs years or a whole football generation till the work will bear its fruits. at the moment we can annoy the top teams in SEA but we are still not at the level to win every match....Singapore, Indonesia and especially Thailand (still remember their great performance vs. Oman) are still ahead of us

  23. "then what do you know about football? the team couldn't even string decent passes. Some players are off position. The talent is there there's something wrong with the coaching"

For starters I definitely know more than you!!

They couldn't string decent passes you say? You clearly weren't paying attention much were you. They did string decent passes mainly in the second half. If you were really watching then you would've saw that they were really trying to play some proper football.

Yes the talent is there as you say but just like any team including top teams, club or national team, they need time to gel when there are new players or practically new players. Lucena, only his 3rd cap and was playing out of position. Cagara, it was his debut! Mulders, only his 3rd cap and first time to play in his natural position. On top of all that, as Weiss has said, they're still a bit jet lagged as they ony arrived the other night all the way from Europe! And finally, Singapore are just a more experienced national squad as whole!

Everybody is just too quick to say it's the coach's fault when something unfavorable happens. Obviously though, he's not completely off the hook but for the most part you can't just say it's his fault after a defeat like that when they showed that they were trying to play proper football. As they anonymous poster above me said, 2011 is literally just the beginning and can't expect to too much too soon.

  24. What are these so called experts are saying. "Couldn't string passes, players not in there natural position". ^^I agree with the prior comment, these so called experts are not paying attention and doesn't really know football. LOL! Cagara & Lucena are natural defenders. Maulders was designated as an attacking midfielder, not in the back four, you stupid critic. They were playing really good despite not having a single practice, except for that second goal where we were really caught napping. They had more attempts but just couldn't finish. After the game, I was not even really disappointed even if we lost by 2 because I saw the very big potential of this team. Luck was also in Singapore's side.

  25. "Long balls",maybe these experts were viewing a different game. Maybe it was Philippines VS Chinese Taipie they were watching. LOL! Watch the replay, please - 2pm on Studio 23.

  26. ^^^To be fair though, they were resorting to the long ball tactic quite often in the game.
