London-based booters to hold camp in Panaad

Football development program in Negros Occidental continues to move into high gear as the Provincial Sports Office announced a series of friendly matches between local football teams and the London Football Club at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

Angel Verdeflor, executive assistant to the Governor for Sports, yesterday said the London-based team will conduct a football camp on October 21 to November 5 at the Panaad Stadium and will play goodwill games against teams from the Negros Football League.

On October 24, London FC will play against Bacolod United Football Club, followed by San Carlos City FC on October 27.

On October 31, the visitors will play against Sagay City FC while the final match will be on November 3 against the Ceres Football Club.

Meanwhile, games in the 1st Negros First Football Open Championship resume this weekend at the Panaad Stadium with San Carlos FC and Real Negrense leading the cast of early winners who will be shooting for their third win.

San Carlos will face Magallon United in Group A, while Real Negrense battles Minuluan-Talisay in Group B.

Winless teams, Kabankalan and Las Buenas in Group A, and winless Don Bosco Alumni against La Carlota (1-1) in Group B are also hoping to nail their first victories in the tournament this weekend.*NAB

  1. London Football Club?! Not listed at any level by the English FA. Be careful of being conned, Mr Verdeflor.
