TO CAP its three-nation friendly games, the Philippine national football team Azkals will battle Guam's national team at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Mansilingan, Bacolod City, 7 p.m. of June 12.
This Independence Day football extravaganza is brought to football-crazy Negrense fans by the Visayas Football League headed by Junie Lizares, disclosed event organizer Pinky Abaño of Pink Idea Production.
Among other sponsors are ABS-CBN, Smart Communications, Pepsi Cola, Gatorade, Nature's Spring, Kia, SVG Fertiplus, Havainnas and Libresse.
Abano said the Azkals are expected to arrive on June 9, while the Guam shinbusters will plane in on the following day.
Tickets for the game start at P200, P400, P600 and P1,000. Fans who opt for the P1,000 and P600 tickets are guaranteed with reserved seats at the grandstand where they can have an unimpeded view of the Azkals vs Guam tussle.
Tickets are available at Luxur Place, Mushu, Robinsons Place, Sky Cable, Seeds Outlets, Scrubbles at 888 China Town Square, Shakey's Lacson, Café Bobs, ABS CBN and the Provincial Tourism Office.
On June 12, tickets will also be available for sale at Panaad starting 9 a.m.
In an earlier separate interview, Philippine Olympic Committee chairman Monico Puentevella opined that Negrense football fans will surely get a treat of the Azkals' scoring prowess, considering that Guam is not a very highly regarded team.
As of FIFA's June 2012 ranking, Guam's men's football team is listed at 194. The Azkals is at 149.
