THE Iloilo Football Association (IFA) once again squeaked past Cebu Football Association (CFA), 2-1, yesterday in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
The win strengthened IFA’s hold of the second spot with 12 points equivalent to a win-draw-loss record of 4-0-1. CFA remained at third place with seven points.
Agapito Bacla-an saved CFA from being blanked after finding the back of the net with just 10 minutes left in the match.
The CFA team is manned by booters from the University of San Jose Recoletos, two players from the University of Southern Philippines Foundation and four players from the Don Bosco Boys Home (DBBH). /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
