THE members of the Cebu Football Association (CFA) board elected engineer Pericles “Ricky” Dakay as the new president of the football governing body of Cebu.
The nine members of the board had already elected among themselves the persons that would take care of the different committees during the body’s first official meeting last May 14 at the Casino Español.
The board marked its first official meeting as a fresh start for Cebu football.
Sports columnist Enrico Navarro was elected as vice president and will also be handling the marketing and publicity committee.
Joey Herrera was named the secretary-general, while Michael Veloso is the treasurer and will be also head the finance committee.
Another returnee to the board, Raffy Musni, will handle the Technical Development and Membership Committee, which will include the grassroots program.
Nimrod Quiñones will be in the discipline and security committe and Glen Quisido will head the tournament committee.
University of San Carlos’s Fr. Heinz Kulueke and Rodney Orale, will be tasked to take care of the grounds committee and the feferee committee, respectively.
In a joint statement, the officers committed to unite the Cebu football scene.
