  1. Reminiscing U16 tournament in Bacolod 2 years ago? This is how the technical committee in PFF works in choosing their coaches. What now? lol

  2. i dont think this debacle is caused primarily by an incompetent coach. its the lack of preparation time and the system we use. when was this team organized and how long did they train? i bet the training was very short. if preparation is only few weeks, its always better to let a good age group team represent the country, say a regional palaro winning team and its coach and just let the coach reinforce weak spots. no need to have a national selection. its very important that the players fit into the system of the coach. we dont have to please everybody.

  3. Lack of preparation is just an excuse, for example indonesia, thailand and cambodia only train a week before the tournament started, many countries also trained for a few weeks.

The point here is your country is neglecting the grass root development. Instead, the FA is concentrating too much on recruiting fil-foreigners for your so called azkals... this result is the reality of philippines football. Sorry if what i said hurts you guys.

  4. The PFF has already started training of coaches for grassroots. Hope PFF BOG Richard Montayre who is in chaRGE OF Grassroots can address this matter.

Just wait for 10 years and we will dominate football in the asean regions. :)

  6. The PFF has no definite program for the grassroots and they have no vision for the future whatsoever They(technical people)are just contented of holding seminars to justify their salaries. On top of that what else.

The debacle of our U16 in Bacolod 2 years ago should have been a wake up call. But what have this supposed to be technical people done to address the problem? NOTHING!

This coach of the U16 today should not be here in the first place considering his track record. But because of some maneuverings of PFF and the grassroots committee headed by Montayre I can just laugh my head off.

To the last anonymous poster before this post. Montayre is all blah-blah-blah. He has done nothing for Cebu how much more for the entire country?

  7. I quote Glen Ramos on his post interview and he said "Singapore were more tactically aware and while we tried to defend, I did not expect such a scoreline."

There you go. How can he not expect such a scoreline when Singapore trashed Vietnam with the same scoreline? And what is this "more tactically aware" thing? LMAO

  9. instead of arguing why don't we just talk and discuss important things to improve football in the country...we should work it out instead of pointing fingers at each other..

  10. PFF should organize tournament of their own..not just sitting and waiting for sponsors to come..it's now time to wake up..we have good potential players..and PFF should give all necessary support..for a better national team in the future

  11. we can't blame coach glen ramos, we know he has done his best for the team..PFF should start training early..give the best assistance to the team..for sure early training and with the best assistance..i know coach glen and the team can make it..

  14. what grassroots support? we just asked for their help to get travel & airport tax exemption for our team & PFF couldn't even do that.

  15. Grassroot support? PFF could not even provide the complete gears for the team. No towels, shin guards, jackets, practice shoes etc. PFF issued the spikes and uniforms a day before their departure to Laos. The boys had been training on a bad ground/pitch that would lead to injuries. No medical kits to be used incases of injuries. I do agree that the PFF Technical committee are more focused on how much perks goes into their pockets. Its just a matter of representing the country to justify their salaries. Lots of seminars and coaches have ABC licenses etc yet the are not competent to do their roles. Nonong Araneta must look after this as he's been a player.

  16. We have coaches with A Licenses. Why do we have to hire a German coach? Grassroot programs will never be a success as the PFF are taking in FIL-AMS, FIL-EUROPEANS players. In the future our local boys will have no place in the Mens Naional Team.

  17. We need Coach Weiss of Germany as the immediate solution to our problem, Filipino coaches should try to learn from him, as he is more exposed to the higher level of play among European squads, better yet we should send our coaches in Europe for further studies and training. We should stop the hiring of coaches just because of personal relationship/friendship with the powers that be,in this case with the Cebu FA. Mr. Richard Montayre being incharge of the grassroots should stand up, and do what is best and not allow himself to be sweetly whispered and distated upon and influence all his decision, he should create his own personality and not hide under the shadow, better yet under the skirt of his whisperer, He should open all activities of CFA to all the Cebu Football Community and the rest of the other FA's so as to give them equal opportunities to participate and share their expertise, specially in tha selection of coaches/players, and not focus his selection to the people composing his CFA board. There should be no favoritism, so he will never be accused of impartiality. He should take steps to unify football in the country, and he should start in in his own turf, Cebu. Cebu is an emerging football power, being in the finals of both the high school and elementary in the recent palarong pambansa, which by the way the CFA has no hands in its formation since this are school based, but after high school this players have no where to go since the CFA has no continuing program to enhance their skills, this is the reason why we get crushed in the under 19 tournaments by the same players that we used to dominate back in our palaro days. Its time to open our eyes and wake up. The success Philippine football is because of dedicated people like Mr. Dan Palami who has the heart and the vision to make the most of what Philippine Football has, Its time to follow his lead, we should choose leader with the same vision, who's main and only concern is to improve the state of football in the country, so we can start relying on our homegrown talents, who are at par if not better tha our Fil-Foreign players. But as of this time we have Mr Palami, Coach Weiss and the rest of the Fil-Foreign players to thank for.. This is a very good time to start.. GOODLUCK... HOPE YOU WILL ALL HAVE THIS HEART.

  18. LOL at the majority of you people!!! Blaming the shortcomings of the U16's on the senior national team!! Good job on you moronic imbeciles. Just goes to show how much you guys really know about the sport! It also proves that the foreign based players will never be truly appreciated or truly accepted even though they have nothing to do with the likes of the national U16's team since there are no foreign based players on that team! Also the way you guys react about this 5-0 defeat is as if they were suppose to the ones dominating and that success was suppose come quicker. Fucking numpties you lot!!!
