  1. Teams playing against the Phils in group B are scoring in the early minutes of the 1st half. Earlier, Vietnam scored on the 7th and 24th minutes. Against Myanmar, it was scored on the 3rd minutes. This is all the faults of the coach. Hes got lots of lapses in defense. I COULD SAY HE IS NOT WORTHY TO AS A COACH. I conclude that the coach knows nothing. He should not be coaching in any national team in the future. Four games in a row he is not able to find a solution when opponents score in the early minutes of the 1st half. PFF, please send this coach for another seminar or let him coach nursery kids.

  2. You can't just put all the blame on the coach. That's such an amateur and noob type of comment/line of thinking. I'm sure the coach along with his assistant(s) have tried to address it. Then it becomes a case of the quality of the players. They're not able to put in what the coach wants of them. In this case, they're not able to put a stop to conceding early goals.

  6. i think we should give credit to our u16 players..let's stop blaming them...PFF has the main concern regarding the failure of our u16 national team..imagine with just 3 weeks of training..what do you expect of a team with just 3 weeks of practice..at narinig ko medyo atrasado ang training kasi wala daw budget na dumating..

  7. DAPAT ITIGIL NA NATIN ANG SISIHAN....LAHAT TAYO MAY LOOPHOLES...DAPAT CONCENTRATE NA LANG TAYO KUNG PAPAANO NATIN I IMPROVE ANG FOOTBALL SA PINAS..LAHAT TAYO MAY KANYA-KANYANG IDEA..SO WHY DON'T WE PUT IT IN GOOD USE..LET'S LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES..WE KNOW U16 NATIONAL TEAM..ESPECIALLY THE PLAYERS WE'RE REALLY TRYING THEY'RE BEST..ITIGIL NA NATIN ANG INSULTUHAN AT SISIHAN..MAY PANAHON PA..

  8. In any case like this, its the coach that is the first to go. SINO BA DAPAT AND SISIHIN DITO? BAKIT PA TAYO NAGPADALA NG TEAM KUNG WALANG PANAHONG MAGPRACTICE.

  12. possible solutions:
    1. PFF should stop sending haphazard and instant teams. learn from the success of the azkals, get a good team manager for an age group with a heart and a vision, somebody willing to shoulder and share with the expenses.
    2. Team manager chooses a coach of his choice, and the rest of the coaching staff who can work with each other.
    3. The assigned coach together with the coaching staff will start to scout and identify players with good skills, aggressive, and who plays with passion and dedication, enough with the padrino system. PFF should not interfere and give full control to the team manager.
    4. They should find a good venue for the players to practice, the players should be well supported and nourished.
    5. Coach should train the team for a longer period of time, and everything will just fall into place.

We should learn from this debacle, that If we continue this usual practice of picking coaches/players and cram on training, then we will just be pulling down what our senior azkals had reaped.

  13. No worries. Because we won't need these kids in our senior national team anyway in the future.
The mighty Fil-European saviors will always protect us

  14. I suggest this formula: Get a manager who has a son (who is a high caliber player) in that age group to be the padrino of the team and let him foot the bill beyond what PFF can afford (I heard that PFF can only afford the uniforms and balls more often than not) I dont believe in try-outs - a star team will always perform better than a team of superstars especially in the younger age groups in football. Just pick a winning team, for example, from Palaro (for this age group at least) and then let the coach of that team be the national coach. Give the coach a free hand to select his players. This way, most of the players know the system of the coach already and all he has to do is to pick up players to the plug holes in his team. Walang politika - just because he is the son of the PFF or FA so-and-so, ipapasuk na lang. Tama na yung isa - yung anak ng padrino.

  15. correct me if am wrong on this fact>that these senior azkals have been playing way back 2008?and it's only this year that we see them play live on tv right?so with this trend expect these now u16 teens to dominate in the u19 with of course the full support and maximum assistance from the PFF.

  16. many who back out during the call ups 11 of them back out which most of them played for the u14 the reason because of school . the coach also which is our coach also played for azkals long time ago as a striker.they started their training
last june only lastly their all 1996 which is u15
and i think para sa exposure for the next's year aff u16

  18. Comment before the last is the typical english of coach glenn, you dont hqve to justify the debacle, all those who played there are u15 or age group 1996, so dont make rhis an excuse, its not only you who's in this age group, even this you dont understand, hiw much more when you give instructions in the english language since not all understand cebuano, that must be one reason why you got crushed, Good conversational english should also be a requirement in choosing a national coach..:-(

  19. Get a team manager before getting a coach thus way the TM will have full control of the coach, this case assigned a coach and tasked him to find a TM, well he almost did until he proposed a budget of 7M peaos for less than 2 months of training?? PrepOsterous, maybe they want to be billeted in a 5 star hotel! Toink!! WhAt do yOu expect? The prospective team manager disappeared as quick as he can, thats why he was forced to get parents of players as managers, no other choice.. Poor players they were in turn suspected of being in the line up because of their fathers... Hope they had lots of playing time, otherwise they would have been just used to the max, coach think of the country first, be patriotic before you think like a businessman, if you think theres no chAnce then dont send a team and shame the boys and the country, but if you think there is, then by all means go for it. If you are successful big sponsors will come in, then you will get your fame and fortune. Please dont use people to get what you wAnt..

Parating meron silang accomplishment, but in the papers only. But in reality, its the opposite. Maybe, mr. PFF president, Sir. CAN YOU REPLACE THIS PERSON WHO IS SITTING AS YOUR HEAD IN THE GRASSROOTS PROGRAM? He is ruining your good record as PFF President. maawa naman kayo sa mga bata.

  21. Come to think of it, Why is the under 14 or 13 and the under 16 national teams are coached by cebuanos, namely coach glen and coach bingbing? Not that im saying, that cebuano coaches are not capable of Guiding the Philippine "Little AZKALS" Team to the promised land. But, these guys have tried it already, and they failed our expectations. I cant believe this. Are you sure, MR PFF President that this Mr. MONTAYRE who is the grassroots head, knows what his doing? or is he capable enough to head this program? Are we in shortage of coaches here in the philippines, that we always tap the services of these under achievers? Am i listening to the same tune of the past administration mr president? I hope not. Make a change, because we still believe
