Philippines to host 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers

Tajikistan FA reported on their website that PHILIPPINES will be hosting one of the group stage qualifiers in 2014 AFC Challenge Cup.

The other hosts will be Kyrgyzstan , Myanmar , Laos and Nepal.

Winner in the group qualifiers will advance to the finals , plus the two best second placed teams.

Qualifiers are scheduled for March 2013 , but Philippines want to postpone their group stage to late May

Draw is on December 11

Teams participating in the qualifiers :

Tajikistan , Kyrgyzstan , Northern Mariana Islands , Afghanistan , Brunei , Chinese Taipei, Guam , India , Laos , Macau, Mongolia , Myanmar , Nepal, Pakistan , Palestina, Philippines , Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan

Maldives will be hosting finals

      18 teams, 3 pre-qualifiers which would then be 15 teams in the group stage, five groups of three. :p

  2. Yes probably playff qualifiers first , but not confirmed. It could also be 3 groups of 4 and two groups of 3.

  3. India is gone thsi time as we have very bad un talented players in the team. Best of luck Pinoys for Suzuki cup and AFC challnege cup. I know pinoys think India as a challenge in AFC qualifier...but India is gone gone gone.

  4. Philippines is one of the best in terms of hosting and designing. There are some international events that Filipinos are hosting the show and lots of people appreciate it.
