AFC U-14 Girls Championship - Cambodia 1-7 Philippines

Ho Chi Minh: The Philippines whipped Cambodia 7-1 in their AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship ASEAN region campaign opener at Thong Nhat Stadium on Tuesday.
Striker Cecile Firmeza Deita scored a triple for the Filipinas while forward Itsuko Maree Bacatan scored a brace including the opening goal that was made as early as the 5th minute.

Substitute Mikhaela Jumawan also scored a brace including the team’s last goal two minutes into extra time.

Defender Song Channa scored the consolation goal on 40 minutes for the Cambodians who were led by head coach Samuel Schweingruber.

In the competitions’ opening match, Vietnam thrashed Malaysia 7-1 and in another match Thailand beat Myanmar 3-2.

The Marnelli Salvador Dimzon-led Filipinas will face Vietnam while Cambodia will lock horns with Myanmar in their next matches on Wednesday

    We can win the competition.
    Now just need to play to our main tactics parkibg the bus in front of the goal when we play stronger opposition.
