The AFC has accepted UFL champion @GlobalFC_PHL into the AFC Presidents Cup competition this year.
---------------------------------------------------
Qualifiers are scheduled for May
Other teams expected to participate in the qualifiers :
Dhaka Abahani (Bangladesh) , Druk Pol (Bhutan) , Boeung Ket Rubber Field (Cambodia) , Taiwan Power Company (Chinese Taipei) , Dordoi Bishek (Kyrgyzstan) , Erchim (Mongolia ) , Hilal al-Quds (Palestine) , Balkan (Turkmenistan) and league winners from Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
This is good news as the start of 2014 Football. Next should be the AFC Champions League if we can professionalized the UFL.
ReplyDeleteThe next level up for clubs in AFC competition is the AFC Cup which has stricter requirements than the AFC President's Cup. The requirements for the AFC Champion's league, which is the next tier after that and the highest level in the AFC, are even more stringent and demanding and would be out for reach for our clubs for some time.
DeleteI agree with you though, that this is definitely good news. This will provide our players more chances to gain experience in international competition, as well having another competition for our growing football fanbase to follow.
hold up! didnt stallions win the UFL CUP???
ReplyDeletei bet 100000000 percent that there will be no national team suspension threats to any global player if they will participate in this tournament.
ReplyDeletepurely moronic comment. since when was a player threatened for suspension for playing football? if i remember right, commitment was questioned kung "showbiz" related ang prior-commitment like the YHs. them playing for LMS in RHB Cup in Singapore was never an issue. bitter ka lang ata bro.
DeleteI wonder why... LOL!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Philippine Team!
