ReplyDeleteWhere can I watch these matches? Are they going to air this on AKTV?
ReplyDeletei just saw the advertisement in AKTV it will be televised on jan. 26 to feb. 5 but im not sure of the date because i just saw a glimpse because i was changing the channel..
DeleteAnother scalp by Ceres! Nice!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Global should bring in more foreign players, like theyve already done. LOL!
I don't like Global FC but you make it seem like Ceres doesn't have any foreigners.

Delete(who said Global should bring more foreign players)
This only shows your ignorance of the game Football...first research before opening your mouth or commenting..
I know Ceres has korean and british players, but they still have more local/homegrown players than Global in the lineup.
DeleteIgnorance? Oh well, i guess you couldnt see the joke in the message and the irony. In a group of friends there is always one guy who doesnt seem to understand a joke or get the clue. Im guessing youre that guy. LOL!
Deleteceres homegrown are 2011 Suzuki Under 23 National Champions.
Deletewhy are you still arguing between homegrown on not homegrown. it shows that football is still stuck in this non-issue. grow up guys! there is no argument that the more foreign-based players come and play, the better Philippine football will become. tell me where were we for the last 70 years without foreign-based players??? were we ever in the top 4 of the suzuki cup two consecutive times?? pray tell me!
DeleteFil-foreigners have always been around, allthough the quality and quantity is alot different now. What i think people was trying to say here, is that there are alot of good local players in the Philippines and maybe they should be given a chance rather than filling up your team with africans. Fil-foreigners are good for the league and the fans, but bringing in non-filipinos in the quantity that some teams are doing now isnt good for the league.
DeleteTalented players need to play at the highest level, and they cant develop if they play local 7-aside festivals or even in the 2nd div of the UFL, where the quality is pretty low.
The UFL just recently turned "professional", and it is growing, and getting more media coverage, and it would be nice if filipinos can take part in something theyve dreamed of for a long time. There should be a limitation actually like they have in certain leagues.
First of all, the ufl is nowhere near "professional".
DeleteSecond, the fact that teams including the likes of Ceres FC has a ton of foreigners, means that most homegrown players right now suck ass!
global suck ass
DeleteAs an avid Fan Of Global FC, I watch almost every game regardless of where in Europe the time of the game finds me. I was able to consume 5 pancakes while monitoring today's game but it still did not help the boys to win! But so is Football and the Football Gott.. Today they have lost a game, but it does not mean the stars lost their Glance and Sparkle...It only means the ball is round and the Wind was stronger on the side of the first half..
ReplyDeleteEven Bayern München the German record holder of the Bundesliga has to experience and accept this kind of situation...In the season 2003/2004 they lost in the quarter finals the DFB Trophy to a lower 2nd Bundesliga placer Alemannia Aachen, 2-1.
This kind of situations makes Football thrilling and makes us Fans excited..
In a good sport we say.. Congratulations Ceres FC
yup!!this is why its the no. 1 sports in the world!!
DeleteYou're an "avid fan" of global fc? yuck!!
DeleteCongrats to Ceres FC! They deserve to play in the UFL First Division more than any other team atm.
ReplyDeleteMy tip on the other quarterfinal match: Kaya 1 - 3 Loyola. Going to be tight but Kaya has not managed to win against the Sparks ever since that dreadful semifinal game and the Sparks have improved their line-up while Kaya has lost a lot of quality players, like Sabio, Beloya and Moy.
Hoping the Archers beat Pachanga and Gen Trias should beat Pasargad tomorrow.
GIANT KILLING LOL
ReplyDeleteKaya beats Loyola 1-0!
ReplyDeleteKaya FC to play against Ceres FC after beating Loyola 1-0, goal by OJ Porteria.
ReplyDeletePFF Smart National Championship should now adopt a league format to allow clubs nationwide to participate. This is good for football development.
ReplyDeleteLeague format? This is a cup competition! This is pretty much the Philippines' equivalent of the FA Cup.
DeleteYou just never know in football.. Fantastic result for PH football.
ReplyDeletepachanga during their 2nd division year was strong too before it disbanded and merged with another club.
