Davao Football - WTFM booters crush KMMPC

WTFM and Columbia hacked out similar wins in the resumption of the Ebocci-Davao Premiere League at the Tionko football grounds over the weekend.


League leader WTFM crushed Kapisanang Magkaibigan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KMMPC), 6-2, for its second straight victory thus far without a loss.

Joven Benitez secured goals in the sixth, 18th and 73rd minutes to lead the scoring for WT-FM. Francis Acala (12th), William Villancio (13th) and Clifford Dacera (84th) added one goal each to complete scoring.

KMMPC's Arman Valencia hit two goals -- in the 36th and 44th -- in the meet officiated by Davao Football Association.

Columbia, meanwhile, relied on strikers Aaron Bantayan (16th), Jerby Paalan (27th, 33rd), Francisco Iligan (39th, 73rd) and Aldin Tiboron (80th).

Allan Rey Fernandez scored the lone goal for the Hooligans in the 62nd.

WT-FM took the solo lead of the team standings with 2-0-0, win-draw-loss card while Columbia (1-1-1) and Hooligans (1-1-1) are occupying the next two spots followed by Medvil (0-2-0) and KMMPC (0-0-2).

The single round-robin tournament will have the champion team represent Davao to the Southern Mindanao cluster of PFF-Smart Club Championships being organized by the Philippine Football Federation between April 1- 30. (MLSA)
