News and comments about the match here ! I found a livestream that hopefully will work !
ReplyDeleteAnother difficult match for Azkals and another draw ?
Jonny,
ReplyDeleteI was about to put that livestream link here as well.
I predict a close win for the Azkals 1-0 or 2-1. Palestine is not bringing their foreign based players or their starting goalkeeper Saleh bec. of injury.
Looking forward to see how the Lucena(controlling the midfield) and Guirado(providing the killer passes) combination upgrade the standard of the team.
This match gives us a preview on our WC qualifying chances against West Asian sides who tend to be taller and more physical than SEA sides. If we can't beat a relatively weaker West Asian side like Palestine then our chances against the stronger sides we will face in WC qualifying will be even harder.
Go Azkals.

Interesting lineup. It looks like a 4-4-2, but it could also be a 4-2-3-1 which Weiss used against Myanmar.
ReplyDeleteHinrichsen not playing? Yet there are two oldies in Gener and Margarse on the bench? Meh.
The livestream posted above is just full of music and singing. Can anyone suggest a another livestream site?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you try being patient first? It's still 15 minutes or so before kick off!
ReplyDeleteI think its only going to be for the scores...

ReplyDeleteIs this another politically picked line-up?
Araneta, hanggang kailan ba iyan nandyan sa starting line-up? Takbo ng takbo lang iyan wala namang magagawa. Siya yata ang jinx sa team ehh!!! August 2010 pa iyan naka score against a walang kwentang team, presidente siguro ng PFF father nya. LOL
The 38+ years old are in the line-up? i thought we are building a future team? Barsales can be excused but Gener and Margarse doesn't have any f*cking redeeming factor :(

ReplyDeleteand just imagine: this is the weak team of Palestine.......if they played with their best players ......Patay!
ReplyDeletePalestine are underrated because they don't play as many internationals as they could due to their situation back home. Therefore things like their FIFA ranking doesn't really reflect their true strength and they're much better than what people would give them credit for.
ReplyDeletecedelfpt: the pacy winger Ismael is sub'd. both teams lack quality to finish.
ReplyDeleted-uh?
we are missing player too
ReplyDeletethis i know.....but some already thought they could be beaten easily.....a big mistake! Our team is not yet so strong especially the players on the bench
ReplyDeletepalestine have only 3 foreign based players on the bench
ReplyDeletetime for a hero. time for "the crane". it's the moment of truth.....
ReplyDelete0-0 , 86 mins
ReplyDeleteif it remains 0-0, then the late equalizer vs. Myanmar is much more annoying
ReplyDelete88th min. things are about to get really nasty here.
ReplyDeleteTo the anonymous above... regarding our team isn't strong yet.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's more proof that hype is stil very high. A draw against Palestine needs to be seen as an excellent result.
89 mins 0-0
ReplyDeleteall 3 foreign based players are defenders. one from Jordan supposed to be one of their best
ReplyDeleteExact........a draw vs. them is actually an excellent result........some years before we wouldn't have been able to do lke that

ReplyDeletethat's it. 0-0 fulltime. aaaaarrrrgghhhhh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFT 0-0
ReplyDeletebut great job, azkals. great spirit, great effort.
ReplyDeleteThe Philippines has to win on Friday just to have any chance to qualify.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the assessment on Lucena?
ReplyDeleteYes, it could be that they have to win with more than 1 goal against Bangladesh .
ReplyDeleteyep they have to win..but let's hope Bangladesh drew with Myanmar later..just hoping..
ReplyDelete0-0 myanmar v bangladesh is good, bangladesh win v myanmar even gooder, but wont happen
ReplyDeletewee draw
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Myanmar will be too much for Bangladesh. So question is, how many will Myanmar get against them?
ReplyDeleteone things is clear our fifa rating is going to go down a bit. 1 loss and 2 draws against lower ranked opponents not good.
ReplyDeletethat's the same thing that people said when the Azkals played Vietnam..nobody even gave us a chance..go Bangladesh!
ReplyDeletelets pray that palestine beats myanmar on friday
ReplyDeletejust a word of caution, let's not assume we are going to beat Bangladesh. They are not just going to lay down and take a defeat. Azkals haven't scored from the run of play in these last 2 games. Lots of work to do still.
ReplyDeleteSeparate note, is Rob still unavailable for Friday?
rob who? rob gier? rob gier played vs myanmar and just now against palestine
ReplyDeleteReferring to Rob Gier yes. Yeah I know that. Read a report that he had to fly back to England after today's match.
ReplyDeleteNo, Rob is going home now and cant play on friday
ReplyDeleteThe defense is already quite shaky as is, now Rob is leaving.
ReplyDeletemyanmar result against bangladesh doesn't mean much to Azkals.
ReplyDeleteif Azkals can win atleast by 3 goals difference againts bangladesh, Azkals will go through without thinking about the other result.
i think 3 team in this group will have 5 points then the goal difference will be crucial. (if myanmar win tonight and draw against palestine, azkals beat banglasdesh)
but if myanmar vs palestine come out with a winner (any), azkals just need a win :)
Cautions: S Greatwich (34'), Del Rosario (77'), J Younghusband (90+1')
ReplyDeleteDid nobody get cautions in first match against Myanmar ?
Myanmar - Bangladesh started 0-0 , 2 mins
ReplyDeletebangladesh 1 - myanmar 0 hahahahahahaha just what we need
ReplyDeleteA lot of players for Wales can't speak Welsh, and their national anthem is in welsh.Gary Speed their captain, in the desire to galvanise their team issued copies of their national anthem so that everyone could sing before the game begins.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/22/gary-speed-wales-anthem
Wouldn't it be great is everyone on the Azkals could sing the Pambansang Awit with pride?
hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteThat was incisive. A whole lot better than Villaflor will ever come up with.
ReplyDeleteMyanmar - Bangladesh 0-1 , 38 mins
ReplyDeletePositive : Philippines need only to win 1-0 against Bangladesh to qualify
Negative : Bangladesh stronger than expected and have something to fight for in last match. They could even qualify with a draw if Palestine beat Myanmar. A win and they are sure.
seriously, whatever happens to that second game,we are still in good shape. We do indeed need to win against Bangladesh to qualify so in that sense our future is still in our hands.
ReplyDeleteOoops, Speed's the manager of Wales, not captain.
ReplyDeleteJay...
ReplyDeleteNot totally in our hands. If Myanmar come back and end up beating Bangladesh they'd be on four points. Then if they only draw against Palestine, we would need to beat Bangladesh just to be level on points. From there it would be decided on GD or even GF if things are tight.
I dont know about you guys, I feel we should be in better shape at this point. Iam disappointed and in these cases you have to look at the coach for answers. Whats next for us after this?
ReplyDeleteYes, your right, we could all end up with 5 pts and the margin of victory vs bangladesh could be the deciding factor. But for that to happen, Myanmar has to win this game and at least draw vs Palestine. if they beat Palestine and we win, we are through no matter what happens to this game. it will still be in our hands albeit needing to win by a certain margin.
ReplyDeletedont know it is good or bad if bangla win or draw against myanmar but one thing is certain, they still in the competition.
ReplyDeletelast game will be crucial, all four still have chance to go through
0-1 , 80 mins..
ReplyDeleteI don't get why many ppl keep talking about Fifa ranking. One up one down.. who's higer than who..
ReplyDeleteFifa ranking is there just for the sake of getting things a bit more interesting. Its ranking system gets always disputed and actually most of footballing nations don't even care.
So it seems like Bangladesh will be a tougher opponent than expected.
ReplyDeleteIt's now stoppage time and I have been waiting for more than 5 mins but no final score yet for the Bangladesh vs Myanmar game. Was the game stopped? Bangladesh was leading 1-0 at 90 mins.
ReplyDeleteFT Bangladesh 2 Myanmar 0
ReplyDeleteto the one anonymous: right said! the FIFA ranking really doesn't matter and for me it is almost a joke. When how some teams are ranked. Yeah, the whole ranking is really disputed. It's just a little feature/game which make this, like you said, a bit more interesting. Matches are still played on the pitch, 11 vs. 11, and ranking doesn't count then....so we don't should think Bangladesh is weaker than us due to the fact that they are ranked lower. Their football is much more developed than ours, at least what national league and a proper stadion is concerned....
ReplyDelete2-0 bangladesh? outfuckingstanding!!!!
ReplyDeletewen Johnny, SMB ngay!
who got stella? dang good beer that one also, fart-proof, hi-hi.
