This will be a very tough match for Azkals, my prediction is a draw, maybe 0-0 ?
ReplyDeleteMongolia will win this game but Philippines would still qualify just the same.
ReplyDelete5-1 or 4-1 Azkals. 1-1 on the first half, own goal Azkals, Younghusband in the box. 2nd half brings desperation in Mongolia side to get on the scoresheet, loosens defense, exposes gaps, Azkals counterattacks and set pieces fm corners and indirect penalties. Araneta redeems himself! Fights break out, red cards on both side. The Younghusbands deliver.
ReplyDelete7 - 3 azkals. 2 - 2 first half. ian araneta will slip and lands on his butt but will score a goal.
ReplyDeleteHa-ha-ha!
ReplyDeleteI am a little worried with the goaltending matchup. The Mongolia goalkeeper played a good game last time and did well to keep it close while Sacapano has just given up 12 goals against admittedly good Japanese teams the last 2 games but goaltending is all about confidence and his might be a little frayed.
ReplyDeleteTotally! He is the weak link in the chain, Sacapano. But I have a good feeling he's gonna go balls to the wall on this one game. It's going to be short of a miracle that I'm going to pray for today and Im asking for that to happen in Sacapano's watch.
ReplyDeleteazkals 2-1 mongolia
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the Azkals can lose by one point and still go on to the group stage. It makes sense if you take into consideration home and away goals.
ReplyDeleteBut about Sacapano...
Chris Greatwich once tweeted that the it is impossible for the Azkals to lose. Their defence is just too strong. For our sake, let's hope he's right.
Every Azkal will step up to the plate and go all out. They'll surprise the Blue Wolves in their home field. The score will be 3-1 the good guys!
ReplyDeleteGO PHILIPPINES!!!
Go Azkals!
Mongolia needs to score 3 goals to our none in order to advance. We just need to hold on.

GOAL! 3RD MIN! 1-0 AZKALS! James Younghusband! effectively 4-0 up on aggregate really.
ReplyDeletewhoa!...score na zkals!
ReplyDelete1-1 now mongolia just scored.
ReplyDeleteMongolia scores again! PK! 2-1 35th min. Though MOngolia will need to score three more goals to advance. PI needs two score one more just to make sure to keep this out of reach!
ReplyDeleteOne away goal should count as two on aggregate. So right now it's 4-2, Azkals on aggregate, really.
ReplyDeletephil 1 - 2 mongol end first half
ReplyDelete2 shots of tequila and 3 beers later: 2-1 mongolia. ok azkals, let's stop messing around now. game on, c'mon now!
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't be playing so open. After scoring that first goal, we should have stayed back and played a little more compact instead of leaving so much space at the back for the Mongols to counterattack. Our defence esp. the back four has been sloppy but the midfield should have gone back faster like they did in the Suzuki cup.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe what I am watching!! I could not believe that the Azkals could play worse than they did in Bacolod.
ReplyDeleteFire Weiss now!!! We need McMenemy!!!
still in good shape. bring mcmenemy later to carry the boys' luggage home.
ReplyDeleteI sucked at my predictions but MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, another day at the office, we're going to Myanmar. Well done, Azkals!
ReplyDeleteWhew. Azkals are through. It wasn't pretty. And it was too close of a series against an inferior team, no matter how many starters were missing for the Azkals in this second leg.
ReplyDeleteBut they're through.
Let's go boys, keep it going.
azkals to myanmar
ReplyDeleteWe finally played more organized in the 2nd half and did not give up any goals. We advance.
ReplyDeleteA lot of cleaning up to do for Myanmar.
Congrats to the Azkals for advancing in the next round. Playing in a freezing weather and artificial turf certainly affected the way the players played.
ReplyDeleteAnd a BIG thank you for providing the links so we can watch the game. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Let's go Azkals! Beat Palestine, Myanmar and Bangladesh!!!
araneta remains goalless in 7 games
ReplyDeleteAs predicted above, Mongolia win the game but Azkals qualify. Go Azkals!
ReplyDeleteEven thought the Philippines went through, there were still some people who thought this game would be a walkover.
ReplyDeleteI think that's going to be a very stressful locker room for a while until they sort themselves out.
ReplyDeletePhil Y injured and doubtful for Myanmar matches
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from Italy!
ReplyDeleteKongrats from Kandahar Afghanistan!
ReplyDeleteSome of the predictions are way over the top. It's proves once again that hype is still extremely high.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from Paris.
ReplyDeletecongatulations ho from barangay Pedro Quines, Tarlac
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from Iloilo!
