CEBU, Philippines - Cebu plays another important role in Philippine football, as it hosts the RP Under-13 training pool starting on April 25.
The said event will be handled anew by Cebuano coach Oliver Colina.
A total of 30 players will compose the training pool and will be trimmed down to 22 as official RP under-13 lineup.
The team, which will be tagged as little Azkals, will be managed by DRBSports.
The selected players will be representing the country in the 2011 AFC Festival of Football in Malaysia from June 1 to 6.
Coach Colina and his group are currently in Iligan to scout for players.
After Iligan, the try-outs will be done in Davao from March 18 to 20, then San Carlos City and Tarlac on March 25 to 27, and Laguna on April 4 to 6.
Prior to the training of the RP under-13 squad, DRB Sports will hold the DRB Jamboree of Football on April 2 and 3 at the Aboitiz Sports field in Brgy. Subangdaku,Mandaue City.
This 11-a-side football festival will have the players 6, 8, and 10, boys and girls 12 and 17, boys 14 and 19, men's open, women's open, men’s 38-above and inter-BPO categories. (FREEMAN)
