Etheridge, Mulders doubtful for Azerbaijan friendly

Philippine internationals Neil Etheridge and Paul Mulders are doubtful to join the squad in the upcoming friendly against Azerbaijan in Dubai after the pair suffered an injury.

Etheridge returned to Crewe Alexandra, on loan from Fulham FC, last night and featured in their 0-1 loss against Stevenage. The goalkeeper will be with the Football League One side until April 13, 2014.

Mulders recently joined SC Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie and will be with the club until the end of the season.

Both players were last called up to the national team in the 2013 Philippine Football Peace Cup.

I know that they will play, but do they have missing, because of injury or yellow cards???

  5. Something strange about Neil Etheridge. Fulham lost their first choice goalkeeper and immediately signed another even though Neil was the regular first team sub.
Moving from Premier Div to a third tier club a long way from London must be disappointing.

  7. It isnt really that bad he got loaned. He hasnt been made Fulham's Number One because compared to regular EPL Keepers, Neil is still young and fresh.

So he needs all the lower Division games he can get, and besides, the English 3rd Division is still somewhat more competitive than ASEAN and the UFL. No Offense.

Keepers in the EPL can reach 40 and still be great. So Neil has a Great Future.IF Fulham keep him.
