  1. How about Javier Patino? He seems to have a good form again scoring a brace on Buriram's 3-0 victory last Saturday....and we need good a forward to score some the few chances we have

  2. Thailand is playing on March 5 , so no reason for his Thai club to not release him for March 5 , but I think his club will not release him for AFC Challenge Cup.

    1. it would be a big loss for our team not to have him in the challenge cup roster....as if he keeps up his excellent form we would badly need his firepower....as our offensive depends too much on Phil and our opponents know this as well.....like: if you hold Phil you hold Philippines

    2. Yea. Javier is clearly the forward we need.. he gives a different dimension for attack.. Phil and Patino up front. with Steuble right in behind them. and since no Schrocky against Malaysia, Reichielt would be great on the wing.

    3. I hope they release Patiño as the Challenge Cup falls on FIFA dates and hope Thailand supports their ASEAN brothers on their bid for the ACC. #aseanfootball #azkals

    4. Buriram United will not release him just like in the past two Friendlies which fell on FIFA match dates no Patino. The only time we will get Patino to play for us again is when he gets discarded by his club and is too old.

Forget about him! If he was playing in the Korean or Japanese League yeah maybe we will see him. Thailand is a country without honor, so do not expect to see Patino again! Ever!

    5. If the CC falls on FIFA match dates then Buriram have to release him wether they like it or not. Clubs are usually more selfish when it comes to this.

    6. Even local Thais who play in that selfish Buriram club never get released, so don't expect Patiño to be released to play for Azkals for another year or so! He was reported to have signed a two year contract in 2013, so we won't be able to see him in another year or so! Hope he doesn't extend his contract in that nonsense Thai club!

    7. Many FIFA match days or dates have already passed, and no sign of Patiño! That's how selfish Buriram Utd are, even going against FIFA rules!

    8. Can't the PFF hand in a protest to FIFA? Is there a possibility that Buriram might receive sanctions since they are going against FIFA rules?

  3. FIFA doesn't give a shit about emerging football nations bending the rules in international Friendlies.
They know that most SEA authorities are incurably corrupt and as long as the game keeps growing domestically that's all that matters in Geneva.

  4. Most of the comments here are true. Thailand Buriram is so selfish it will not lend players to the national team. They lied (they said Patino was injured when he is not) last time about not releasing Patino for the friendly in Hong Kong. They will do it again. South East Asian clubs are notorious for that. Same thing happened to De Jong when he played for Persiba in Indonesia. So do not expect Buriram to release Patino. Will not happen.

  5. AFC Challenge Cup is not on the offiicial FIFA match days. Late May/Early June are used for World Cup teams to play friendlies. Most European leagues are finished in mid May. so no problem for those clubs to release players

    1. Buriram is not like European or Japanese clubs. It is a Thailand club. They do not release players they are a commodity no way José.
