INTERESTED teams may now sign up for the 2011 Araw ng Tugbok District Football Festival, which will kick-off on Saturday at the Deca Homes Resort and Residences (DHRR) Country Club Field in Tacunan, Mintal.
The free registration tournament is organized by the Davao Football Association (DFA), in cooperation with Barangay Mintal, Barangay Tacunan, University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanao, DHRR and Second District Rep. Isidro T. Ungab.
DFA general secretary Erwin T. Protacio yesterday said the bootfest features the 14 years old and below (born 1996 and later), 12 years old and below (born 1998 and later), 10 years old and below (born 2000 and later) and the elementary girls categories.
"The one-day event will be a 7-A-Side format. Games will follow immediately after the 8 a.m opening program," Protacio said in an e-mailed statement.
Protacio said every team must present photocopy of players' birth certificates. A team shall be composed of 10 players.
Teams from the districts of Talomo, Toril, Tugbok, Calinan, Baguio and Marilog are invited to participate. (MLSA)
