Jason De Jong Returns to Global

Global FC is proud to announce that midfielder Jason De Jong has rejoined the People's Club.
The midfielder had a memorable stint for Global when he joined midway through the 2013 season. De Jong was part of the squad that played in the AFC President's Cup and the RHB Singapore Cup that year.
2014 saw De Jong reach greater heights. Named captain by Leigh Manson, he led the squad to a record breaking league title victory scoring five goals that season. De Jong also won the FA Charity Cup last year to snatch a rare double.
De Jong also shined for the national team. The midfielder made the central midfield position his own as the Philippines finished as runners up in the AFC Challenge Cup last year.
With his return to Global, the club has finally reignited their championship form in all competitions.
Also joining De Jong for Global are defenders Ian Clarino and Jahanbakhsh Taher. Clarino has played for the University of the Philippines in the UAAP and is the brother of another new signing in OJ Clarino.
Taher joined Global from Manila Jeepney. The Iranian defender also played for Pasargad last year. Norio Suzuki and Matthew Hartmann were also signed during the transfer window.
De Jong will once again wear the number 6 jersey for Global. Ian Clarino and Taher's jersey numbers will be announced in a future date.
