Real Madrid coaches to boost YKK clinic

By Joey Villar

YKK has brought three coaches of the popular soccer club Real Madrid in an event dubbed YKK “Just for Kicks” Football Clinic slated April 13-15 at the Ayala Alabang Country Club in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Real Madrid mentors Jaime Torcal Cano, Ivan Garcia Sacristan and Pablo Gomez Revenga will hold a coaching clinic on April 13 and conduct four sets of football camps for 250 kids aged seven to 15 years old the next two days.

No less than Francis Laurel, president and CEO of YKK Phils, Inc. or local distributors of the global makers for fastening products, and Phl football chief Nonong Araneta officially launched the three-day event in a press conference yesterday at the Makati Shangri-La.

“This is a big boost for the sport because our local coaches as well as our football-playing kids will get the chance to train under top caliber coaches from Europe,” said Araneta.

YKK has actually been supporting football not just in the Phl and Southeast Asia but also in South Asia.

Countries that were visited by YKK were Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

After the Phl, YKK Kid’s Football Clinic will visit Cambodia late this year
