The Serbian coach Zoran Dordevic the coach for Philippines U21 team has left Philippines and gone home to Serbia after "end of contract."
He was coach under HBT 2012 in Brunei but was also expected to coach the team in AFC U22 Qualifiers in June and next year`s 2013 SEA Games
The team dont have any coach yet for AFC U22 Qualifier in June.

ReplyDeleteSayang, I think he is a very good coach. Despite having a very young and inexperienced players, very short preparation and not having the services of some of our known young players, the U21 actually played beyond my expectations.
ReplyDeletethey were winless the whole HBT tournament, beaten in every match... and they played BEYOND your expectation?! what were you expecting then?
DeleteHe probably was expecting an absolute thrashing in every game. I was expecting the same thing honestly.
DeleteZORAN BETTER THAN WEISS.
ReplyDeleteYet another nobody who knows jack about football! Not sayang Weiss is world class but people like you love to hate just for the sake of it and like I said, don't know jack about football!
DeleteI bet if Zoran is managing the senior team, you'd say "WEISS BETTER THAN ZORAN" instead.
DeleteToo bad that Coach Z left. He has better credentials and more experience coaching internationally than
ReplyDeleteWeiss or McMenemy, both of whom are basically rookies at their job. If they had to choose a
replacement, maybe they should find out if Coach Krautzun is still available. After all he has
has led our team to the SEA games semifinals once before and has lots of experience
coaching national teams. He would have the same connections abroad that Coach Weiss has and
can easily step in as head coach of our men's national team as well, without antagonizing our German benefactors if Coach Weiss falters.
Zoran had good credentials, but obviously he was not able to do better than Weiss with regards to the Youth team.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think Zoran was on "stand by" in case the Azkals didn't do well in the AFC Challenge Cup, but they did, so that sort of helped preserve Weiss' job with the Azkals, at least for another year.
Without the opportunity to move up, I think Zoran just decided to seek greener pastures, rather than continue coaching the Youth teams ...
In any case, they still need to find a new coach, preferably one with proven experience as head coach at club or international
ReplyDeletelevel, similar to Coach Z, and not just somebody who is getting on the job experience
as head coach of our national teams like we have had in the recent past. I would even consider a Korean or Japanese coach if that is all they can afford.
what do pff expect, panalo kagad kahit baguhan yung team tapos basta basta lang pinadala sa HBT ng walang sapat na training??? hindi style ni Coach Zoran ang problema. papalit palit na nga ng players pati ba na man coach. imposible na talagang magkaron ng chemistry ang junior team natin. expect the worst na lang sa AFC U22.
ReplyDeletemmmm interesting comments.
ReplyDeleteYou were the team manager in HBT 2012 in Brunei , what qualities should PFF look for when hiring a new coach for AFC U22 qualifiers and SEA Games. Should they look for foreign coach or local coach ?
DeleteThe PFF should hire coach who can bring us to the Finals
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!! We don't have the quality at this level to qualify for the finals. A good indicator for that was the HBT.
DeleteIt's already hard enough to find a quality coach, let alone one that's gonna get us to qualify! The only thing we can hope for is that the PFF get a coach that make us be somewhat competitive so we can get respectable results [losses].
local or foreign, doesn't matter. as long as he brings good results! should surpass the previous performances at the very least.
