Ya, possible but for Cagara highly doubtful! He doesn't seem the type to move to the Philippines just to play some shitty level of football. Mind you, he also has a kid and him moving with or without his family away from Europe just doesn't seem plausible.
Who knows, maybe him and Lucena will take a year in the UFL. Lucena hasnt been playing much, and he isnt getting any younger. I wouldnt be surprised if some of the foreign based players took a year or two in the UFL at the end of their career. Of course they would do it to experience something new, and i highly doubt it would be because of football itself.
Allthough Cagaras career has been on a downpath since he played for Hertha Berlin years ago, and was actually considered for the danish national team, i dont want to see him end up in the UFL. The UFL has no quality whatsoever, and i dont understand the players who choose to play there and play in a low quality league.
Again, Lucena and Cagara have kids. Moving away from Europe to the Philippines doesn't really seem plausible or at least it wouldn't be smart! Therefore it's extremely unlikely we'll see them in the shitty footballing scene in the Philippines. Also, I don't think even fatlami can match what they earn in Europe.
Again, its not impossible to move to another country if you have kids, and specially if its only for a short time, like a year or less. The UFL season isnt that long either. So, it is indeed plausible.
As for the wages. I see your point, but cost of living is alot cheaper in the Philippines and they wouldnt have to require that much, but you have also some other factors kickin` in.
Besides that, i hope they stick to playing in a good league, and not an amateur league like the UFL.
Never said it was impossible, just extremely unlikely and it wouldn't be smart. Do you honestly see Lucena and Cagara moving to the Philippines just for football? I don't! They also seem like they would rather retire than ply their trade in the Philippines! If it were me, that would definitely be my stance! I also agree with what you said above, I cannot begin to understand how anyone from abroad with any sense of ambition would wanna play in the shitty (to say the least) ufl.
Oh and that's not the end of the shitstorm. To top it all off, De Jong and Sacapano, players who were on loan, are now PERMANENT members of the squad!!! Who do they think they are?! Do they think they can just loan off players and then keep then without paying shit?! I really hope that Ceres kicks them out or grabs the title from them... or maybe even Kaya since they beat them twice last season!
Global fc new player..
ReplyDeleteWouldn't surprise me anymore if that happens.
DeleteGlobal na naman yan. Alam na..

DeleteYounghusband??
DeleteWell, looks like something far worse has happened: Rufo, Angel Guirado and Paul Mulders move to Global.
ReplyDeleteFatlami has the title as good as secured. Only Ceres or the Sparks can stop them imo.
