It’s just a team short of closing the 300 mark of squads seeing action in the 1st Ceres Cup 7-A-Side Football Tournament set May 17 – 18 in various football pitches in the cities of Bacolod and Talisay, Negros Occidental.
Different football clubs across the country will converge and compete in this two-day bootfest, with categories in Under-9 and Under-10 – open to boys, girls or mixed teams; Under-11, Under-12 and Under-13 – all in the boy’s category; Under-14 boys and girls; Under-16 boys; Under-18 men and ladies; Under-20 men; Men’s and Ladies’ Open; and 38-Above.
Among the teams seeing action at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College pitch are 24 sides in the U-9, including: South Cotabato FA, I-Pag-asa Iloilo, Westbridge-Iloilo, PPFC, Montevista FC, Mabini FC, Tamasak, Don Bosco FC, Himamaylan, Strikers FC, Les Lions, Trinity Christian School, Football Kings-A, Football Kings-B, United Dumaguete, BNFC-A, BNFC-B, Marist School-Manila, UNO-R, San Carlos FC, BNFC-ILAYA (A), BNFC-ILAYA (B), Giuseppe FC-Cebu, St. John’s Institute, Canlaon Hijos FC, and Kicker’s FC;

16 teams in the U-18 boys: Dumaguete NHS, Silay FC, CKFC, Minuluan FC, Sagay FC, Panaad United, Bayawan FC, Escalante FC, CPU, St. Vincent-Iloilo, Cebu-Pocket Monsreu, Pulupandan, St. Francis of Assisi, UNO-R, Cebu-Barele, and Don Bosco-Cebu;

The football festival is a vision of Ceres FC manager and organizing chairman, Leo Rey Yanson, which is aimed at providing football enthusiasts the opportunity to foster and exhibit sportsmanship in a competitive, safe, and friendly environment.

yung tournament commisioner ng Ceres Cup wlang kwenta at bulok ang systema na ginagamit. Pa bilib lng na umabot sa 300 teams pero maraming dismayado na mga coaches at players including parents dahil mabagal ang resulta at tally ng games going to quarters and semis. May nagsuntukan pa na coach at tournament head dahil suplado ito pag tinatanong. Mga referrees nila pawang marami ang kulang pa sa FIFA seminar . mayaman ang mga Yanson ang may ari ng Ceres pero ang binigyan ng otoridad na mag run sa festival ay sadyang corrupt dahil kulang sa manpower yung festival nila .
ReplyDeletemasakit ang narinig ko sa iang team na nag participate dahil 3 bracket sila may isang wildcard na kukunin at sila yun dahil sila ang second best sa top one ng kanilang bracket . pinalaro sila sa semifinals at nanalo sa harap ng maraming tao pero biglang pinatawag yung coach at sinabihan sa madilim na lugar na mali daw yung decision dahil may talo daw ang team nila na isa kahit na apat ang panalo which is 12 points and they have played 5 games pero inexplain ng commissioner na si Warren Concepcion na yung isang team sa Iloilo daw ang dapat dahil 4 games lng sila at wlang talo draw lng which is 10 points . Pinalaro uli yung semifinals sa ibang team at balak pa bigyan ng pera yung team na pinahiya nila sa karamihan na halos apat na oras naghihintay sa gutom at pagod dahil malayo pa ang lugar ng team na yun (outside bacolod). Mas deserving daw ang 10 points at fewer games pag ganun na sitwasyon.
