THE Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has invited President Benigno Aquino 3rd to watch the 2011 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenges Cup Philippines-Mongolia match on February 9.
PFF President Mariano Araneta said that the association has already allotted reserved special seats to President Aquino and his staff at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
“It will be great for Philippine football if the President would be there because it will also boost the morale of the ‘Azkals,’” said Araneta, also noting that the general admission is free on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“We all know that the President is an avid fan and supporter of the Azkals, so we will give him a grand accommodation there. The PSC [Philippine Sports Commission] will extend formal invitation.”
