THE long wait is over for the Negrense football fans to see the Philippine Football team-Azkals in Negros Occidental soil as they are scheduled to arrive tomorrow afternoon, January 26. This was confirmed yesterday by Philippine Football Federation - Local Organizing Committee Chairman Red Avelino.
Avelino told Sun.Star-Bacolod that the team is tentatively scheduled to meet Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. at the Provincial Capitol upon their arrival and will also hold a press conference thereafter.
The PFF official, however, has yet to disclose Azkals' itinerary for the next following days. "I still have to check the schedules of the team," he said.
Meanwhile, PFF President Mariano Araneta earlier stressed that PFF intends to follow Japan's successful grassroots development program to sustain and improve the country's stature following the remarkable performance of the Azkals.
Araneta further said that they should set the right foundation to ensure a brighter future for the sport and using the method of the Japanese could be a step to the right direction.

please explain to me:
ReplyDeletewhy the coach is flying over 7 unknown players, to play an important match?..
why bring over so many fil-foreigners to play one match, while there are incredible players living in the phil?
Didn't the PFF complain about a low budget?..
So why bring over UNKNOWN and BAD players to an IMPORTANT break through for the AZKAL TEAM?
Where is no. 16? which has been playing for the national team for 4-5years?.. Dorlas was missed during the Suzuki cup.. if he's not playing this match against Mongolia.. he will yet again be missed..
Why did PFF leave Dorlas last Suzuki Cup?.. i heard they didn't give a VALID REASON?.. i assume it might not be professional, but yet personal? Why leave an ALL-AROUND-GOOD PLAYER in the Phil. without a reason? He has the experience.. playing against Cambodia, Brunei, and Thailand!..
Isn't it that a team has 24-25 players?.. How come there are nos. higher then 25?.. And how come there are nos. missing?.. Does that mean that there are players that are suppose to be playing, but yet to be replaced because of new imported players, that are brought back to a foreign country to them, never been played in a country that has a different climate then they are used to, and presuming that they are better then the original players that has been living and played in the Phil. for nos. of years?..
Why is PFF bringing back no.27, a 31year old foreign player, that led the opposing team pass by?
my advice:
leave the unknown.. bring back the experienced! New, but foreign players are not expectantly as good as one might think they are.. like in the world cup 2010.. the team with the same old players kicked harder then the newly established players in other teams..
please explain to me why.. because it does NOT make any sense.. especially knowing the game myself.. thank you.. and please reply asap..

ReplyDeleteyou seemed to over assess yourself, YOU DONT KNOW THE GAME!! the way you understand how the azkals is formed explains everything!!
hahaha anonymous ang dami mong di alam sa background kung ano ang nangyari, ang dami mo pang sat-sat..
ReplyDelete-from Baclud
to anonymous,
ReplyDeleteikaw ba si Dorlas? haha parang affected ka masyado ah. Dorlas knows very well why he was not called up for the NT. tama lang ginawa ng mga coaches, right attitude should be of paramount concern to join the Azkals. Dorlas is good, yes, but too bad his head swelled. now, he has to re-earn that spot.
Yet another f*&#$ng poorly written Phils. newspaper story. What the heck is the Japanese grassroots program? It's as if the writer assumes we all know what that is.
ReplyDelete97% of local players s*cks and s8cks d1cks so hard...
ReplyDeleteDorlas is even s*ckier...
Bring-on all Fil-Fors, most local players are boring, we talk about local players when we have a decent National League...

ReplyDeleteBring-on all Fil-Fors, most local players are boring, we talk about local players when we have a decent National League... "
We local fans accept the inclusion of foreign based players coz they are humble and wants to play for the country.
You sound foreign Anonymous.
You should not say those things to our local players, thats an insult and we dont want to create a rift with-in the team. Remember, its us local fans who decide who to support. Once we think you are now insulting our fellow local players. We might break our support to them. So dont push your luck.
"LOW BUDGET"
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying they have to squander money, but they kinda received over 20 MILLION PESOS aid from all over the world.
"UNKNOWN and BAD Players"
That simply insults the integrity of the PFF, coach Weiss, and the Azkals themselves and their ability to select people. Everyone was given equal opportunity during the try-outs and the best people were accepted.
Like what everyone else said, you don't know what you're talking about.
My advice to you: GROW UP
So all these comments are coming from people who know more?.. so all of you are the ones that know the game?.. so it is obvious that all of you are local.. thank you for your comments.. it speaks for itself.. i guess my FIFA profession is less then Local Filipino knowledge..
