MORE than 6,000 student athletes nationwide will converge in Tarlac from April 11-17 for the 53rd edition of the Palarong Pambansa where the Provincial Government will showcase the state-of-the-art Tarlac Recreational Park (TRP) in San Jose town.
The students will compete in 17 sports disciplines: archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, chess, football, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sepak takraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and, tennis.
Competition categories include divisions for elementary boys,
elementary girls, secondary boys and secondary girls.
Prior to this, pre-qualifying events have been organized around the country to determine the participants for the annual sports meet.
