FIVE MEMBERS of the Cebu Elite Team Football Association has a chance to become members of the RP football Under-14 team after making it to the Under 14 national training camp, which will start today at the Don Bosco Technological Center in Liloan town, Cebu.
They are Clint Ligan, Rafi Lifardo, Shane Larry Sarmiento, Koko Gaudiel and Pericles Dakay Jr.
RP Team Under-14 coach Oliver Colina made the list of Visayas players after the football festival in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last month, which also served as a pre-selection of the national team.
Other booters were taken from the tryouts held last week in San Beda and the recently-concluded 53rd Palarong Pambansa held in Tarlac.
Of the 30 booters who made it to the training camp, only 22 will be picked to form the official RP Under 14 team which will see action in the Asian Football Confederation Under-14 Festival of Football in Malaysia in June.
Other members of the training camp coming from the Visayas are Angelo Bahoyan, Raymund Santillan, Ricky Ryan Ragay, Joey de la Sierra and Justice Kitane of the Negros Oriental Football Association; Jhoguev Ybanez, Francis Louise Polvorido, Kenneth Tuzon and Mark Willem Cui of the Negros Occidental Football Association; Jose Zaldy Abraham, Jonas Oren, Exiamirum Sierra, Renz Richard Portigo, Carlo Angelo Dalisay, Charlone Lapating and Lord Irvin Jimena of Iloilo.
Those coming from Luzon are Rean Jay Villafuerte of San Beda; Paolo Gabriel Alilam and Carlos Magsadia of Ateneo and Skie Doug Carranza of Hedcen.
Booters from the Mindanao area are Earl Real Lagerta, Charles Ivan Barbera, Kyle Lawrence Correa and Bertrand Gregg Ramos III of Bukidnon; and Franklin Bantilan of Zamboanga
