The Philippine Women’s National Team is set to face Macau Women’s National Team in a International Friendly Match this Saturday, 03 August 2019 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite. Kick-off time is at 3:30 PM.
The friendly match will be the team’s first competitive fixture following the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament – Asian Qualifiers Round 2 last April.
The match is also part of the team’s preparation for the upcoming AFF Women’s Championship 2019 which will be held in Chonburi, Thailand from 15-27 August 2019 and the 30th Southeast Asian Games which will be held in Manila in November 2019.
he Philippine Women’s National Team are currently in a closed training camp at the Moro Lorenzo Football Field at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City.
The head coach is Marnelli Dimzon. She is assisted by Gerald Orcullo and Melo Sabacan.
The Women’s National Team is also supported by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and MVP Sports Foundation.
“The friendly is a good opportunity for the coaching staff to see the results of the team’s training camp in preparation for both the AFF Women’s Championship 2019 and 30th Southeast Asian Games,” said PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes. “The coaches will be able to see how the team has progressed. Hopefully, no one gets seriously injured during the friendly as the tournament is fast approaching.”
