Tingnan nyo si Bedic taga Iloilo proud son of Barotac dito isinilang at natutong mag football pero puro crucial mga goals from Paulinho Alcantara Cup to Suzuki Cup. A mix of Foreign born and pur homegrowns can make a differnce. Homegrowns have more pride too hindi lang taga Europa na kapatid natin.

    1. Ahh yes... as I predicted right after Bedic scored... there would be a ton of overrating that will happen.

Bedic scored a fluke goal!!! Now all of sudden you're criticizing the people who say that the homegrown aren't good enough with "Sinong me sabi hindi kaya makipagsabayan ng mga homegrowns natin??"

      Absolutely laughable!!

  2. It was a fluke goal. Bedic disappeared after scoring. Could not even time his runs well.

    1. Anonymous21 November 2018 at 23:52 Interesting observation you got there! Slow Phil & can't run Phil indeed, but you have to understand the situation here bro. It is unfair to quote out of context, so we have to look at the overall context to be able to have a fair assessment, specially if your talking about a guy name Phil Younghusband who have done so much for the country.

First of all, our talisman "number 20" is missing. Talking in football terms, we have no Fox in the box or true Goal poacher at the moment!! We have one "number 20" by the name of Javier Patiño, but for some reason we don't know? he's injury is maybe true or he's Thai club held him back? For that reason we have to rely on whats available. And the best available is the Philippines Greatest scorer of all time "Slow" Phil Younghusband(along with veteran winger name "Slow" Patrick Reichelt).

Second thing is PYH's limitations. PYH for all his goalscoring exploits he is not a true Center Forward, his scoring ability lays on being a dead-ball specialists. His ability to curl the ball into the box from set pieces, providing further deliveries for teammates, his ability to bend the ball around walls while taking shots at goal, his Spot-kicks(PYH had a total of 15 goals scored for the Azkals from a penalty kick), his chance creation ability, also PHY usually scores in taking advantage of goalscoring opportunities from inside the penalty box area(although he missed one last night). Thats how PYH scored around 272 goals overall, for club & country. But your right! Phil don't have the best agility, quickness, skillful dribbling and great finishing. Beating that offside traps, deep runs, incisive runs, One-on-one's is not PYH's best asset. Phil is a deep-lying forward, creative, supporting striker & usually plays in the hole. He is somewhere in between a False nine, a Nine and a half & the Classic "number 10"(playmaking attacking midfielder). He regularly drops back into midfield & participates in the build-up plays in the midfield. Phil does have vision, and good passing ability. It was Dooley who first position PYH into a deeper role for that ability. It did sacrifice Phil's goalscoring opportunities(PYH only scored a total of 16 goals during the 4½ year Dooley era). But Phil besides his usual goalscoring, he did helped in the teams build ups & was involve in creating goal scoring opportunities & provide teammates with assists, playing in that deeper role. So we can't complain anything about Phil, slow as it is, but he scored 52 goals for our country, & for me that's more than enough bro. Whatever his limitations, i only have respect for the guy & whether you like it or not when all is said & done, he will be the second Greatest ever Azkal.

  4. Fluke your ass. Foreign ass lickers!! Bedic deserved to be praised as non of your foreign born scored against thailand "B" team last night. If it were not for bedic's goal we will have a do or die vs Indonesia the next game.

    3. ^^That's not the point now is it?! The point is, people are praising him to no end as if he's this forgotten great or something along those lines. Just look at the very first comment on this post. The guys is saying that Bedic along with other locals should be given more chances just because of a fluke goal! It was a lucky goal and he's still an average player at best. End of.

  9. Thailand is the level we want to be. And by "Thailand" I mean this: locally born and bred players. That won't happen if 10 years after Hanoi we can't even put a decent homegrown in our Starting XI. Let me say that again: We. Do. Not. Have. A. Pure. Homegrown. Pinoy. In. Our. Starting. Eleven. Of. Our. "National." Mens. Football. Team.

And seriously what do you mean when you say the goal was a "fluke"? He kicked the ball and aimed for the goal and it went in. Not too many people can do that. Even the greats don't always get the ball in the back of the end when they aim for it. Bedic did it on his second touch of the ball in the game. Saying the Bedic goal was a "fluke" shows how little you appreciate the game.

But going back -- IF THE AZKALS ARE NOT EVEN 50% HOMEGROWN IN THEIR ENTIRE LINEUP, IT DOES NOT DESERVE SOUTHEAST ASIAN RESPECT. IT'S JUST AN ODDITY IN AN OTHERWISE DECENT TOURNAMENT. THAT'S LIKE THE THAIS PUTTING AN ENTIRE US-BORN LINEUP FOR THEIR BASKETBALL TEAM WHO CAN'T EVEN SING THE STUPID NATIONAL ANTHEM JUST SO THEY CAN WIN IN THE SEA GAMES. OF COURSE THEY WON'T DO THAT BECAUSE THEY HAVE ONE THING WE DON'T -- A SENSE OF PRIDE AND DIRECTION.

    1. The fact that you can't even comprehend the what is meant by "fluke" just shows your level of understanding! Which is barely anything!!

Look at all the factors that happened for his goal!! A deflection off a defender and a deflection of the post! The deflection off both created extra spin on the ball, which was favorable and helped it go in! Had it not been for the deflection off the defender, it looks like it would have been an off target shot!!!

That fact you can't comprehend that and would rather kiss ass instead just shows how little you know!!

  10. One other thing. I don't really get the point of saying the Bedic goal was a "fluke." So ano ang gusto mong patunayan niyan?

The point is not to say that Bedic is a brilliant player and deserves to be the Azkals central star. Pero at least 'wag mo nang laitin.

    Ktnxbye. Labyu.

  11. Ang point dito, you need to stop overrating the guy!!! Just because he scored, especially since it was a lucky goal, doesn't make him this great player everyone is making out to be!!

Look at all the excessive praise! It's so excessive that you got people like the first comment here saying that more locals should already be given more playing time! It's ridiculous!

Bedic has been overrated since he was a teen and it still hasn't changed even after a lucky goal! Sure, it's great it ended saving the match for the Philippines, but lucky goal nonetheless!!

    1. Pini praise lng Overrated na kaagad? A goal is a goal. What more can you ask for? You are pathetic Anonymous22 November 2018 at 09:50. It;s called slave mentality dude.
