  1. 4-2 win for Vietnam. Goals by Heather Cooke and Patrice Impelido.

    1. AFF report says Cooke scored both.

  2. AFF report is incorrect. Heather scored during a scramble in the box after a long free kick. Patrice scored on a great volley off a corner kick. The last AFF report said Heather was the only source of talent on the team so he just assumed that she scored both goals. Idiot.
Myanmar beat Singapore 11-0. Those 2 goals against Vietnam put Myanmar up on goal difference if they tie the next game. While it is disappointing that they lost to the 47th and 31st ranked teams in the world, it does appear that they are no longer in the same class as teams like Singapore and are capable of challenging the big three of Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar.

    1. How is the last report connected with the current one? lol. Also, you can't really blame them for think she's the only talent as there's barely anything known about the women's team and Cooke is the arguably the
highest profile player for the PHL.

What are you trying to point out by bringing up the rankings of Myanmar and Vietnam? It seems like you're implying the PHL women shouldn't be losing to teams that are "only" ranked in the region of Myanmar and Vietnam which in itself is just ridiculous.

The PHL is probably a tweener. Ahead (for the most part) of the likes of Singapore but for sure not in the class of the big three.

    2. I didn't mean to imply that they should beat highly ranked teams. The AFF is actually very strong in women's football compared to the men. Thailand and Vietnam are both ranked ahead of Argentina for example. I was just pointing out the challenge that they face. The Malditas aspire to be winners. They step on the field with the goal of winning. They are disappointed when they lose. I want them to be disappointed. It is not enough to make the team and get to go on a trip.
I agree that the Malditas are now closer to the big 3. Hopefully they can leave countries like Laos, Indonesia, and Malaysia behind.
Regarding lack of knowledge of the WNT. Football reporters have no excuse. The Malditas have been practicing almost every day in Manila for months. They haven't been off to Chicago or the Middle East. If all they know of the team is from American television, that is pretty pathetic. When they do write about Heather they talk about how attractive she is. What sort of football reporting is that?
