  2. It would be much better to organize a friendly equal to any of the opponents in their World Cup qualifier group. Oman would be a good match up to simulate Bahrain in their group or Kasakhstan to match Usbekistans style of play.

    1. To clarify my suggestion, I am aware of Kasakhstan playing in the European zone but I feel this would be a good test for the upcoming qualifiers against Usbekistan. To find an equal opponent to North Korea that is a though one?

    2. Thailand arranged a friendly against North Korea on May 17 and Bahrain on June 5
Philippines can arrange friendly against Turkmenistan, Iraq or Australia
PFF always late for organizing friendly and picking easier opponents, not this time though (Malysia though in Pot 5 is at same level as azkals)

  3. Australia style of play is quite different of anynational team in the Philippine World qualifier bracket. If given a chance South Korea would be a better opponent to get ready for North Korea. To arrange a friendly in mid May as Thailand is doing would be pointless because the Phil Foreign based players will still be on duty.

    1. Last time Australia played against Philippines was in 1972, a 6-0 victory for them considering ph football was at it's darkest times
It would be nice, even if azkals lose, they play the socceroos again - there would be lots to gain
      - just my opinion as a fan

By the way malaysia's style of play is similar to yemen's and azkals are familiar of that
Hope ph can get a win after 4 games of draws since 2012

  4. At this point is there an extended roster out yet? Did I miss it? To me there should be an extended 30 player roster out NOW!

  5. To play Malaysia is a great friendly as you say to match Yemen's style of play. I am sure you are in agreement with me that Yemen is by far the least team to worry about in this group. There should be at least two friendly games arranged to match or exceed the strength of the other three teams in this PH group.
