INGRESO LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK IN HANOI MATCH

By Ivan Gayares
Kevin Ingreso is keen to bounce back in the clubs forthcoming AFC Cup match on April 19. Ceres-Negros will face group leaders Hanoi FC in an all-important fixture that will determine their survival in the tournament.
The Ceres midfielder who started the first three matches of the AFC Cup was on the bench when they played Felda United in Malaysia as he was recovering from an injury incurred during the international break. Ingreso hurt himself in training with the National team just before the Asian Cup qualifying match against Nepal last March.
Though he was already fit on the day of the match, the former Hamburger SV player was listed as a substitute as a precautionary measure. “Of course it was hard for me to be sitting on the bench and know I can’t help my team on the pitch. Felt sad and sorry for the guys but I’m fully recovered now,” said Ingreso.
The previous result put the Busmen on an unfavorable situation but the team together with Ingreso are well aware of the objective on Matchday 5. “We wanna win that upcoming match against Hanoi and we are clear about the situation of the table.  We will do everything to keep the three points at home!,” the Ceres midfielder added.
Ceres-Negros will need a win against the Vietnamese club to take back pole position in the hotly contested group G. Hanoi FC is slated to arrive Monday night in the city of smiles. Both teams will slug it out on Wednesday night with Panaad expecting another capacity crowd.
