FOOTBALL coaches, aficionados, tournament organizers and columnists make up the list of the 27 nominees in the Cebu Football Associations elections on March 31 at Sarrosa International Hotel.

Leading the list are Don Bosco Technical Center coaches Glen Ramos and Bro. Jose Maria Aberasturi.

Tournament organizers of the upcoming 1st Bro Football Cup Keith Buyco and Rodney Orale also made it to the list as well as Thirsty Cup prime mover Chad Songalia.

Current CFA officials Eugene Ynclino III, Richard Montayre, Eleazar Toledo also received nominations despite Montayre and Toledo having announced that they won’t seek another term.

Officers of the Cebu Amateur Football club Ricky Dakay, Glen Quisido and Raffy Musni were also nominated.

Football columnists Nimrod Quiñones, Rico Navarro and Noel Villaflor were also considered.

Other nominees were Leo Dizon, Fr. Jhun Paradiang, Dido Aviles, Nito Tapia, Antonio Moraza, Allan Nuñez, Evan Ancajas, Tirso Ramon Roa, Antonio Trebol, Michael Veloso, Joselito Herrera, Heinz Kuiueke and John Torrefiel.

There will be 28 member-clubs that will vote and the CFA said the number was based on the active schools and clubs that were able to join the Aboitiz Football Cup, a CFA-organized tournament in partnership with Aboitiz, for the past two years.

Only the nine who will get the most number of votes will serve in the board of directors. The top five will sit for four years, while the sixth to ninth placers will have two-year terms.
