THE DON BOSCO Technology Center (DBTC) 1 notched its fourth win in as many matches in the Players 8 division of the 13th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sportsfield at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
DBTC 1 routed DBTC 4, 16-0, to improve to 12 points in the overall points tally.
Giuseppe FC, on the other hand, logged its first in in the tournament at the expense of DBTC D, 6-0.
The other match in the division saw Bright Academy posting its second win after overwhelming DBTC 3, 10-0.
In the Players 10 division, three teams continued their winning streak with DBTC C defeating DBTC B, 8-1; Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) demolishing DBTC A, 17-1; and DBTC E blanking DBTC D, 10-0.
DBTC C, SHS-AdC and DBTC E all accounted for nine points after winning their third matches but DBTC C took over the top spot with a goal difference (GD) of +25. Giuseppe FC also gained three points bringing its total to six after edging the Cebu International School (CIS), 3-1.
In the Boys 12 division, the DBTC 1 lodged itself at the top with nine points and a GD of +36 after blanking Bright Academy, 10-0.
Don Bosco (DB) Boys Home finally scored its first win in the division with an 8-2 demolition of NGLIS.
The third game between Springdale and DBTC 2 was canceled because Springdale is in Cagayan de Oro representing Team Visayas in the Milo Nationals.
In the Boys 14, DBTC 1 added to its winnings with a convincing 16-0 win over DBTC 2, while SHS-AdC blanked CIS, 7-0. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
