FERDINAND Jerome Balaga of Medvil Football Club (FC) romped away with the most valuable player (MVP) title during the awarding rites of the Acer Under-23 Football League at the Tionko field recently.
His teammate Ruelfred Napuran, meanwhile, grabbed the best goalkeeper award in the closing ceremonies spearheaded by Davao Football Association (DFA) president Rafael "Pops" Vilela and assisted by Edward "Chaya" Lim, coach Albert Ryan "Abing" Lim and referees commissioner chair Richard Encarnacion.
Columbia booters Edwin Giganto and Nestor Bantilan were named best midfielder and best defender, respectively.
Medvil emerged champion in the league by beating Columbia, 3-0, in the finals of the meet backed up by ACER, Malayan Insurance Company, Inc,Kilusang Magkaibigan Mulitpurpose Cooperative, Security Bank, Snow Pack Dry Ice Manufacturer, Intel and Gentec Technology Corporation. (MLSA)
