THE San Roque Football Club (SRFC) dominated the first week of the Aboitiz Cup tournament as they clinched three victories in different divisions at the Aboitiz field last weekend.
SRFC won their first games in the Girls 17, 38-above and Players 10 categories.
Christine Mantos showed up with her golden shoes as she scored four goals in SRFC’s 4-0 win over Guiseppe in the Girls 17 division.
Mantos got the icebreaker in the 19th and made it 2-0 in the 36th. The wily striker then added two more in the 51st and 63rd for the final count.
SRFC also trampled AJTS, 7-2, in the 38-above class, while its Player 10 squad held Sacred Heart School-Jesuits (SHS-J) scoreless, 4-0.
However, two of its teams in the Players 8 and Players 12 suffered losses.
SHS-J Players 8 team avenged the loss of its older squad as it trampled SRFC, 5-1, while Pomeroy FC eked out a close 1-0 win against San Roque in the Players 12 division.
Pomeroy made it two-for-two as it defeated ML Canduman, 3-1, in the Players 10 division, while ML Canduman’s Players 12 team tallied the most lopsided win of the day, 11-0, against Guiseppe FC.
Don Bosco College B also edged out MTI, 2-1, in the Boys 14 class.
