OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT | ONE TAGUIG FC
Our AFCCL journey has come to an end.
After every effort to continue our journey in the AFC Challenge League (AFCCL), we have received the decision from the Federation and the AFC that brings our participation to an end.
Let us be clear: we did not withdraw. We did not surrender. We fought to stay.
We fought for our players, our staff, our sponsors, and everyone who believed in this project. We tried every avenue available to us to keep this dream alive. But sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, the forces working against you leave you with very little room to move.
It feels as though everything we have worked to build has been burned to the ground, and there is only so much a club can withstand.
This has been an incredibly difficult and painful experience for everyone involved. We are deeply disappointed that our journey must end this way, especially after the sacrifices, commitments, and trust that brought us this far.
To our sponsors and partners: thank you.
Thank you for trusting us when there were doubts. Thank you for standing with One Taguig FC when the future was uncertain. Your belief in us has meant more than words can express, and we will never take that trust for granted.
To our players, coaching staff, and supporters, thank you for fighting alongside us.
While our AFCCL journey ends here, our responsibility to the people who trusted us does not. We will continue to address our outstanding commitments and communicate with those affected about the next steps.
We may have lost the opportunity to compete, but we will not rewrite our story as one of surrender.
We did not walk away. We were forced to stop. And we will always know the difference.
