Ceres-Negros FC completed their preseason camp after completing two training matches against Singapore Premiere League squad’s Home United FC and Geylang International FC last February 14 & 19 in Singapore.
The busmen flew to the lion city after their elimination from the AFC Champions league and faced their tormentors in last years ASEAN Final on Valentines day.
The first half ended scoreless with Ceres earning three good chances but all missed their mark to break the deadlock. The second half saw a different story with the visitors racing to two quick goals.
A goal from Bienvenido Maranon off a Miguel Tanton assist and a scrappy goal by Stephan Schrock from a keeper error broke the deadlock for the match while Home United added another in the end.
The second match a more intense affair which saw a many cards with three people sent off. A lone goal from Mike Ott from a Maranon assist would be the difference in the training match with Geylang.
The PFL champs will now complete their preparations before facing Shan United in its opening group match in the AFC Cup of February 26 in Bacolod. Ticket details will be announce on the Ceres-Negros FC Facebook event.
