“In consideration for their financial situation, we agreed to Global Cebu’s request to move Wednesday’s match (August 8) to a neutral venue. Part of our agreement included the assurance that Global would play our scheduled match on Saturday, August 11, at the Iloilo Sports Complex,” said Kaya FC–Iloilo General Manager Paul Tolentino.
“We are disappointed to miss an opportunity to play in front of our supporters in Iloilo, but this was the best course of action to ensure a competitive match would take place on Wednesday.”
The August 8 match will instead be held at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, behind closed doors (not open to spectators). Kickoff is slated at 3pm.
